We are all affected by the recent events in the world, and there is no other industry has been more affected by this, than the music industry. Particularly those artists are affected, who have had their contracts on ships and hotels cancelled. And those who make their living from music. Wedding bands, trubadours, pianists, singers, dancers, acrobats, instrumentalists.  Recent events have plunged everyone into unemployment oblivion for unforeseeable future. People can loose literally 100% of their income, and with that their insurances, houses, pensions.

Every situation can be seen in two ways, and we prefer to see it in the positive light. In recent days you might have seen a number of artists utilising modern technology and streaming live concerts from their kitchens, bedrooms, attics and other places in their homes. Our motto has always been to bring artists directly to their audience, without using middlemen. This has never been as potent as it is now, and in desperate times like theses, we have a real opportunity to help musicians and artists worldwide.

In order to help musicians we are going to do a series of Live-streams on Facebook. Each concert between 40min and 60min in length. The first concert will take place on Monday, at 8PM CET. From then on we hope to have one performance per day. 

All live-streams are going to be 'aired' through our facebook page www.facebook.com/artistsdirect
We are also asking groups with large number of followers to share our streams to generate more views.

As we speak, we have already been inundated with artists reaching out to us, wanting to perform. This is all great - but!

Doing a live-stream might bring your likes, followers, audiences from all corners of the world. But it does not put food on your table. We want to make sure that every act gets paid and this is the reason we have set-up this funding page.

In order for that to happen, we need to reach a great number of people, and for that we need your help.  At the moment we have 5 volunteers who are helping us to make this happen. Most of them are also involved in the entertainment industry. They help us with  advertsing, liasing between musicians, technical stuff like setting up live-streams, all of them are doing this because they want to help, but also - because they have no other jobs at the moment. They are also in the same situation as the rest of us.

We are all working out of our own pockets, but we hope to manage to get support from you, however small the donation, we appreciate it. Thank you!
