Artists & COVID 19

I am a 65 year old man. Musician/Actor/Writer  I lost my employment March 6, 2020 because of COVID 19. I had been playing percussion instruments for the house band at Cubaocho Museum, Miguel Cruz and Sugar Cane, in little Havana Miami Florida.  Steady gig. I am also a member of The Combat Hippies.  A traveling theater group composed of Veterans. We had just premiered at La MaMa in NYC this past January 2020.  I was teaching music on the side and I am registered with Palm Beach County as a Teaching Artist.   All this is no more. I am surviving on 917.00 from SSI, 96.00 in food stamps.  My Rent is 915.00 a month. No cash assistance.  Unemployment was approved July 2020 just when the GOP is cutting the stimulus.   I would like monetary help in trying to reassess my life as an artist.  Playing gigs are no more.  I have my phone bill, gas, tolls and maintenance for my car, electric bill, internet, etc. I only have an android cell phone.  I would like to set up a small compact studio in my apt.,  for the world has turned into the virtual era for  musicians and artists in general.   Thanks to the current donations I have already purchased some of the equipment necessary to produce, record,  and play virtual concerts.  It's one way of making money. Please take into consideration that I am terrified of getting sick. I had been hospitalized three years ago with multiple blood clots in both my lungs. I am not leaving my apt. I also suffer from lower back problems.  I'm old as...whatever.  I plan to stay quarantined for at least till 2021.  I volunteer with WDNA.ORG I have my own show Fusion Latina Wedz 8PM-11pm  88.9 FM Miami Florida  #theunpredictableangelruben  In return for your kindness I will offer music and history lessons in my experience of 55 years of music.
