Hello. My name is Dawn Conry and I am a collage artist living in Arizona; in 2021 I applied and was accepted into a two-week International Artist & Writer's Residency at the Chateau Orquevaux in the Champange-Ardenne region of France. The residency dates are August 17-30, 2023. When I applied for the residency in 2021 and then accepted a residency date for summer 2023, I was working through a financial settlement I thought would for sure be settled before residency dates. Unfortunately, I possess knowledge of just how slow the wheels of the Judicial system turn. ( Hint: Really... really... reeeaaalllyyyy slow)

All accepted artists receive The Denis Diderot Grant towards the partial cost of residency. I am also fortunate to be attending as an Emerging Artist and The C. Wagner Tuesday Night Salon Grant recipient. Thanks to these grants the cost of the residency is covered.

So here is the situation; If I were to be awarded, at this moment, in June 2023, I would still have to wait at least 60 days for benefits and payments to begin. Saving accounts are low.

I inquired and found I cannot reschedule this residency. it's a use it or lose it situation.

This is the budget I am looking to cover.

$2,000 -$2,500 will allow a roundtrip ticket to France

$2,501-$3,000 will allow a roundtrip ticket to France and then to Chamapnge by train, with snacks.

$3,001-$4,000 + will allow roundtrip air and train travel to Champange, France and some extra funds for lodging and sightseeing apart from the residency

I would like to offer pieces of my work in exchange for any donations received, My work would arrive via mail and unframed.

$25 donation, the recipient receives 3x4 - 4x6 inch original work

$50 a 4x6-6x8 inch original work

$100 + 6x8-8x10 inch original work

I am also open to commossions.
