Artis Johnson Memorial Education Fund for Kal

On Tuesday, August 11, Artis Johnson, III lost his battle with brain cancer, leaving behind his wife, Nicole Thomas Johnson and four-year old son, Artis Kalal Johnson (aka Kal). AJ was an amazing husband, father and friend. His time with us on earth was cut too short, but his spirit lives on.
As Nicole's colleagues at McKeany-Flavell Company, it was an honor for us to have been a small part of AJ's life. We know that one of AJ's greatest joys and accomplishments was his son Kal. Watching AJ with Kal was well...amazing. You could see it in AJ's eyes when the two were together.
If you have not met Kal, he is a clever, sweet and inquisitive kid. There is no question that he has a bright future ahead, and will make a big impact on the world. Please help us honor AJ's memory and his commitment to Kal.
As a tribute, we are setting a goal of raising $5,000 to be donated into a 529 College Savings Fund for Kal's future. The fund will be professionally managed by our long-time partners at Hutchinson Capital Management.
