I am having open heart surgery!!
On February 19th I went to Christiana hospital ER and was admitted for chest pains. After several test it was found that I have a blockage in my L.A.D. artery for the heart. During one of the test, I also developed a pseudoaneurysm of my femoral artery. This only added to the complications. Several cardiac doctors and surgeons came to the conclusion that the best course of action was and is to perform open heart surgery to repair this.
Our major dilemma is that the recovery time for a surgery such as this requires anywhere from 4-8 weeks of healing. The upsetting part is that my work will not allow me to use my own PTO (person time off) to support my family during this time of crisis! We will literally be losing my income to manage all of our bills! Keeping a roof over my children’s heads, paying the bills, and most importantly reducing my stress to prevent additional stress/damage during this time.
I am a very proud person and this is taking a lot for me to ask for this type of help. If there was any other way without putting my family into unrecoverable debt I would take that route, but there doesn’t seem to be that option.
My family and myself would be extremely grateful for any and all donations contributed for my cause. Thank you again for everything.
