Hello everyone! Many of you have heard about my father, Artie Quick's car accident that occured on June 23rd, 2016.
This accident caused several internal injuries, such as a flail (shattered chest), broken thoracic bone in his spine, and several other injuries. Most important, this accident caused significant damage to his brain; he has been diagnosed with a severe traumatic brain injury. It is a miracle that he made it out of this accident alive. He began his treatment in a comatose state at Helen Hayes Rehab on July 19th, 2016. Recently, he has shown signs of improvement. He began moving his hands early last week (the week of August 1st) giving us thumbs up, and similing through the unbearable pain we assume he must be in. His recent improvement has made the fight for his recovery hightened.
After the loss our mother to cancer in early 2014, my sister and I hope that all of you can help our father get back onto his feet, and be our dad again. My sister, my family, and I desperately miss him.
Our dad is an extremely hard working man who tried to help anyone who needed help. All his friends or family had to do was call him, ask him for a favor, and he would be there in a heartbeat.
The Quick family has decided its time to help him, and continue his fight for him as he attempts to heal at Helen Hayes Rehabilitation Facility in Haverstraw, NY. Our friends at Bear Mountain have graciously decided to host a fundraiser in his name on August 31st, 2016 from 6-9pm. Many of you have reached out to my sister, family, and I stating you can't make it but would love to donate. This money will be used in order to purchase medical equipment and other medical necessities that our dad, Artie, will need for a lifetime.
The Quick family is so thankful for the outpour of love and support, and we thank you in advance for your help!
Love, The Quicks,

-minus a few! :)
