Let Arthur be a puppy!

Donation protected
Hi everyone, as you may know me and Gian adopted a puppy back in June and have been excitedly awaiting his arrival to the UK.Arthur and his six litter mates were born in a shelter in North Cyprus in April 2020. Unfortunately three of his siblings managed to escape from their compound and in to the next, and were eaten by another dog. Not only did he survive the shelter (which is no place for puppies due to the diseases and viruses they can contract), and a 24 hour journey to the UK... Our gorgeous five month old puppy was diagnosed with a congenital deformity in his front legs just a couple of days in to his new life. One afternoon we noticed that he was not himself, sleeping a lot and limping on his front legs. Full of concern we rushed him to our nearest emergency vet, who broke the news that his front legs are 'a mess' and he is going to cost us a lot of time and money. The morning after, with little sleep and many a puffy eye, we visited our local vets whom further confirmed his diagnosis. To add to this devastating blow, our insurance company are refusing to pay out as we received medical treatment within the first 14 days of our policy. For those that aren't familiar with angular limb deformity.. Arthurs radius bones in his front legs are too large to fit properly in to his joints, therefore causing the bones to bow and his frony paws to point outwards. This is due to his genetics, mum being a leggy labrador cross and dad being a spaniel/dachshund cross (we are just as bewildered as you are)!Arthur is restricted to one gentle ten minute slow paced walk per day. He isn't allowed to run off lead, rough play, jump, climb stairs or furniture until his deformity is corrected! And has a continuous prescription of anti inflamatories and pain killers, when he should be running around free of pain, causing chaos and enjoying puppyhood. We are fundraising for: Initial investigatory xrays est. £450, corrective surgery on both legs est. £6400, and ongoing pain relief. Please help us to give him the life he so deserves by sharing, spreading the word and donating. Thank you.
