This terrible accident happened to one of the nicest guys on earth. Now, at age 69, Arthur Morton is learning to live his life in a wheelchair. Many of his living expenses are not covered by insurance and they have skyrocketed. 

It was the eve of his 5th wedding anniversary and Arthur was riding his motorcycle home. He suddenly felt the front wheel of the bike give out. He was thrown over the guard rail and down a highway embankment. His helmet protected his head and face, but he instantly knew he could not feel his legs. He managed to call 911 on his cell phone.   

At the hospital, the doctors told him he had injured his spine, and he will never stand or walk again. He has now survived six spine surgeries, life-threatening blood clots in his legs and lungs and infection in his blood and back. He has lived in hospitals, nursing homes and a rehab facility. His wife, Angela, had to sell their home with only one month's notice. 

Arthur is now at home in a condo, working to become more independent. He wants to learn to care for himself and get in and out of his bed and wheelchair, shower himself and take care of his personal needs. He still needs home health care with these needs. Medicare does not cover this and also does not cover many other expenses such as equipment and medical supplies nor does it cover all of his meds. There are many out-of-pocket expenses. 

We are seeking donations to help Arthur with his living expenses. It is shocking but true: Arthur's Assisted living cost at least $4,000 per month. The expense rapidly drained Arthur's retirement savings and he is only 69 years old. He can no longer work. Angela is struggling to keep her job, pay the rent, and help care for him. Our goal is to raise at least six months of living expenses for Arthur and every single dollar will count. Please help!
