Give HOPE to Grandpa Kim, Let's get him to Craig Hospital in Colorado!I’m asking my friends and family for help. First just a little bit about him:
His name is Arthur Kim, he is a Vietnam Veteran who is a beloved, devoted active church member. My dad, a God fearing man who places God and family first has been critically injured. I am asking for help because I am a single mother of two boys, Alex and Alijah. My father has been a MAJOR support figure for me as I juggled a full-time job while raising two boys on my own. If it wasn't for my dad, I would not be able to work as a full-time working mom. Moreover, my dad was there through the recent loss of my mom. My father not only cares for me and the boys, but he also cares a lot about his community and church. He would do anything to help those in need. Those of you who knows him, knows he would give his last to those in need. Always wearing a smile and joking with anyone he comes in contact with, my dad has a way of making friends with just about anyone he meets.
Recently my father Arthur was involved in an accident which affected his spine. He is currently in the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (NSICU) at Queens. He has a tracheostomy and a PEG. He is on full ventilator support assisting him with breathing. I am more confident that my colleagues and work family will get my dad through this critical phase of his spinal cord injury recovery. However, I need help transporting my dad to California. Rehab there will give my dad the potential to regain use of his motor functions. This GoFund Me will help my dad get to CA to receive the rehabilitation that he desperately needs and to help with any medical cost throughout his recovery. I am not only asking you to help him as we (Alex, Alijah and myself) need him, but I am asking you to help him as he has been such a giving person to others. Any amount will give us the hope we need. If unable to donate, please share this story. Thank you from all of Us.
Sincerely,
Evalani, Alex, & Alijah
