My name is Honey Bonjour and my husband is a United States Veteran who served in Iraq at the height of the war on terrosim in 2003-2004. He is deemed 100% disabled and unemployable due to his time in service and for injuries suffered while being deployed. We recently moved to Pennsylvania due to our previous landlord filing bankruptcy and felt it was time to make a change. We hoped that this would be for the better and that he would be able to get better quality care here at the VA. I am going to school for my Master's and I take care of him on a daily basis. Not one day does he go without struggling. Since we have been here, we have had a great amount of support from a great organization that helped us get into a home. We have had great support from our close friends back home as well as here in the area. On the flipside we have had numerous obtacles to overcome: my husband's truck broke down on our way here and it sat in Columbus Ohio for a month until a local trucker Richard McDaniels and his wife got it up here for us. We still need to cover the costs of repairing it which could be up to $1000. My husband also was just at the VA to get medications refilled to which they abruptly cut him off all of his pain meds. To date he has been without pain meds for about a month. We have filed a complaint with the VA Regional Director, the veteran experience officer and finally the local congressman to help assist us on this matter. While at his first appointment he was triggered into an emotional breakdown by one of the most horendous doctors I have ever come across at the VA. She was unaplogetic and non empathetic. We are currently trying to find a way to get assistance with funds to move the remaining stuff we have in Kansas in a storage unit and in a friend's storage unit to Pennsylvania. The costs of renting a uhaul truck to get our stuff here is about $1600. With all the added stress of the issues my husband has faced and the looming overhead of worrying about how we will get our stuff here, pay for the truck to be repaired, my husband's stress level is through the roof! My husband woukd give anyone the shirt off of his back. For those who knwo my husband know that he unltimately does for everyone else before he will do for himself! I am asking for assistance in helping with this to help ease the burdens my husband is dealing with. He is in pain and it hurts me to watch him suffer. Please help me help my husband by donating to a good cause! We are probably one of many who have created these types of accounts but after all my husband has done to secure our freedoms, fight the war on terror, and with the demons he battles everyday, I dont think this is too much to ask! Thanks so much for everything! Please help in any way that you can please please please! We need funds as soon as possible due to our friend is PCSing and will be moving soon!
