The time has finally come for our friend Artemis aka Heathen aka Apollo 007 to YEET THE TEET(S) and they need your support!

Artemis, lovingly referred as Arty by their friends, is a trans non-binary individual who has been waiting for top surgery for 4 years! They have finally received a surgery date for mid-October and are really excited to take this gender-affirming step. Arty is a wonderful member of community. They have been a stand-out drag performer in so-called Vancouver for over 7 years and in recent years has also stepped into the ballroom scene. Whether they are stomping around on the local drag stages or turning looks in best dressed, Arty does everything with incredible passion. They can be counted upon to support community members and advocate for those that need help and are the first to lend a hand.

Artemis relies on hourly work and drag gigs to pay the bills and while they recover for a period of 4-6 weeks, they will be taking time off work and will not have income. As we all know, living in Vancouver in incredibly expensive. That is why this fundraiser is being organized to support them (and their beautiful senior house panther Floof) so that they can focus on their recovery and come back swinging.

The funds that are being raised will be used to cover some of the following expenses:

Rent - $2000 (1.5 months)

Bills - $100

Food - $500 ($100-120 per week)

Cost of care for Floof (Food and vet expenses)- $250

Other living expenses and lost wages and transportation - $1200

Additional supplies for top surgery recovery - $500

Total goal: $5000

Any extra un-used funds will be redistributed to community or donated to queer community initiatives.
