Keep Us Covered at The Art Center!

The Art Center of Waco has a long history of promoting the arts to the Waco community. As a small nonprofit, we find the need to be creative in our fundraising.

One way we stay sustainable is through our events in our open courtyard. Unfortunately, the volatile Texas weather (from extreme heat in the summer to ice in the winter) makes it difficult for us to provide a steady event space.

To remedy this problem, we have the opportunity to have a tent that fits over the open space, allowing us to hold events in many different types of weather. Sarah Martin, owner of Kindred Event Planning, has said of our space, “ I think that in Waco everyone has to have an indoor back up plan for a large event, and the asset of a place that has an additional back up that doesn’t cost extra money is invaluable.”

In total, the tent is a huge asset to our organization, as it provides us with a larger space with which we can serve our community. However, since we are such a small organization, we are unable to pay for the tent in total.

Will you give towards our cause? Not only will having this tent benefit our guests at events, but it will ultimately provide The Art Center with stronger opportunities to serve our community. Thank you for your generosity!
