Artak Ishxanyan Fund

This is a personal mission, I am fundraising in tribute to all our fallen hero's who fought against the Azerbaijan and Turkish aggression in the Republic of Artsakh. Artak Ishxanyan was a former student of mine.  In the summer of 2004 his family welcomed me into their home in Ashan, a small village in the Martuni Region of Artsakh.   Martuni is one of many regions  now taken over by Azerbaijan forcing  Armenian's to flee their homes, schools and businesses.

Artak was one of many courageous soldiers who lost his life on the battle field. He was killed on October 31, 2020 leaving behind his wife and child.  Artak was 27 years old.  He, like many other brave soldiers were patriots, and pillars of their communities. They fought and died to keep their country alive, and, we, as the diaspora are committed to continue the fight for the love of our people, and for the love of our Artsakh.

This fund is specifically designated to financially assist ANY family directly impacted from the 44 day war, who have lost loved ones in the fight against genocide, who have lost their homes in the fight to keep their land.

Funds will be dispersed to individuals or families who have lost their main income, to help with medical care, food, clothing, shelter; to help rebuild their lives.

I am an American-Armenian from the San Francisco bay area, and plan to travel to Armenia to distribute these funds to displaced families.  I will be working closely with many local organizations to assist me.  I am also in contact with the Ishxanyan family who will receive a portion of your donations.

Thank you for your support,
Anie
