Liz Graznak had a dream about becoming a farmer. She wasn't raised on a farm but from the time she was old enough to work, she found jobs with local, small farming operations. Her dream of owning land came true in 2006 when a privately owned farm became available near Jamestown, Missouri. Liz began with the help of CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) selling weekly fresh, organically grown produce to subscribers from Happy Hollow Farm. Over the past 17 years, the farm has added new produce and increased subscribers. She also sells has a booth at the Farmers Market in Columbia, Missouri.
In the summer of 2023 disaster hit when the farm's well went dry. Water is the lifeblood of a farm and Liz had no choice but to have a new well dug that cost over $30,000. She had to secure a short-term, high-payment loan. This small farm cannot grow enough fruit and vegetables to pay this loan. Her patrons and friends are trying to raise funds to pay for this unforeseen expense and had a video produced to aid in this quest.
Watch the video to see the infectious enthusiasm Liz has for organic farming and consider a donation to "The Well Project".
