Art Supplies for CAPE Students
Tax deductible
The coronavirus has stopped us from being in our classrooms with students, but it will not stop our students from making art!
You can help by sending an art supply kit to a CAPE student!
Like many organizations, CAPE has moved a lot of our work online. We're now interacting with as many students as we can through email, text, zoom, and chat, but many of our students are left out of online learning, because they don't have internet at home or access to tablets or smartphones.
Parents are picking up meals for their children every few days at schools and are asking for additional help from CAPE. We have already created and distributed about 600 art supply kits at two elementary schools in low-income neighborhoods to support hands-on art making for students and their families, but more schools are seeking our help! Each art supply kit will include drawing paper, crayons, markers, Play Doh, felt sheets, scissors, shape templates, and more!
We are working to fill the needs of as many classrooms as possible. We are working with school-based organizers to safely package and transfer these materials to our students.
Can you donate today and send an art supply kit to one CAPE student? $25 will provide two kits for ONE CAPE student and ensure they can make art at home through the end of the school year!

CAPE inspire students' passion for education by bringing academic subjects to life through the arts. We partner teaching artists with Chicago Public School teachers to develop original, creative lesson plans that weave visual and performing arts into traditional classroom subjects.
