One of the best bro's I know needs our help.
A week ago, art stopped along the side of the freeway to help a motorist and he suffered a heart attack. He's been in the hospital since then in a medically induced coma and will be removed from life support soon. Art has always been a good friend to his Navy family and strangers, and we need to return that friendship and kindness by giving a little.
As most of you already know, our shipmate Art Sherman is in the hospital and things don't look good. He's been a friend, a shipmate, and a brother to all of us.
I can't imagine anyone ever asking him for help and Art getting in the car immediately to drive anywhere we needed him. He has a big heart and his love for his shipmates showed with random texts, calls, and get togethers.
("I was in Naples for something medical and ran into Mr. Larson, I think at an ice cream shop on base. He recognized me, He said "Arthur is good for ships morale") Every ship needed Sherman, we were fortunate to have him.
This is straight forward, he and kelly need our help with future expenses
I will always consider him a dear friend and now a HERO.
