Art project to shoot Ghost Towns

Most of you know me and know that for the past five years, I have had a series of health issues that have limited my work ability. I am trying to get my life back on track and looking for sponsorship to purchase a medium format to shoot large images of our constantly disappearing small towns around Alberta. I know this is a lot to ask, and I am also applying for an art grant at the same time to help cover the costs of traveling around Alberta. I hope to raise close to 7500 dollars through sponsorship to shoot all over Alberta.

This money is to see if it is possible to raise funds for the camera and see if there is any interest in helping to make this project happen. Anyone who contributes and leaves their name will receive a signed print that will only be available to my sponsors and no one else.

I will post on social media to let you know what is happening and follow my progress. The eight thousand is a starting point with the hope that the other sponsors will join in and get involved once I can show that there is an interest.

I had hoped to be more elegant about this, but the death of my mentor and friend has made me realize just how important it is to stop procrastinating and move forward.

So at that, I will be dedicating this to Mike Symkaluk, the world's most excellent teacher, friend and Dad
