Art Haynes House Fire Help

Donation protected

I am running this campaign to raise some money to help a friend (Art Haynes) that lost everything in a house fire on April 8th.  Any amount you can contribute will help.  Contact me if you have clothing or household items you can donate as well.  A bunch of donated items (posters and concert memorabilia) will be coming up for auction soon, with 100% of the proceeds going to help Art and his family.  If you'd like to donate something to be auctioned off, please let me know.

From Art:

April 8th was just like any other day for my family. It was the first nice warm day after a pretty hard winter here in upstate NY. Everyone was home from work and school, we had just finished dinner and we were in the midst of our evening routine. I was outside cleaning up the driveway. My fiance was getting our daughter in the bath, and then she was cleaning up the dishes from dinner. That's when our lives got changed forever.

A neighbor was walking by and started beating our door down yelling at my fiance that our home was on fire. I heard her screaming and ran into the house. We grabbed our daughter out of the tub and got her out. Flames raging above her head. I got them safely across the street and went back in for our dog. Got him out and then all we could do was stand there and watch as our home went up in smoke.

The fire damaged the entire 2nd floor of our home. My 13 yr old step-sons room was destroyed. My 2 daughters room was slightly damaged, and our bedroom was destroyed. The smoke and water damage consumed the lower levels of our home. Walls on the first floor buckled from the water. Our kitchen collapsed. My office/music room was soaked. All of our storage in the basement was flooded.

We lost our previous home to a flood in 2011. We lost our 11 month old grandson to meningitis in 2016. My fiance lost her sister in 2017. We thought that tragedy would finally let us live our happily ever after in our new home we had only been in for the past 6 months. We were sadly wrong. Clothes for a 13yr old boy (men's medium) - a 12yr old girl (girls lrg/size 12) - and a 9yr old (girls size 10), toys, computers, guitars, vintage amplifiers, posters, tapes, DATs, hard drives, videos, pictures, household items (towels, washcloths, bed sheets, pillows, etc.),

The insurance company is saying that only myself and my daughter are covered under the insurance even though my fiance is on the lease.
