From the 27th to the 29th of December 2022, the Classical Guitar Reach Foundation of India (CGRFI) will hold its inaugural "Art Guitar Fest Calcutta" in association with the Calcutta School of Music (CSM). A festival with concerts, masterclasses and workshops open to the public and led by the CGRFI Team - Srijit Mukherjee, Samrat Majumder, Veda Aggarwal, Madhavan Somanathan & Santanu Datta.

At CGRFI, we are entirely dedicated to promoting the classical guitar in India and cultivating talented Indian classical guitarists from across the country without incurring tuition fees. This festival will be a chance for students, artists and classical guitar enthusiasts to meet, perform and learn from each other for the first time in a live festival setting in India since the pandemic.

Being a non-profit organisation, we at CGRFI are presenting a festival that benefits the guitar community within India that is both charitable and sustainable. Therefore, in our first year, we are asking for financial aid to meet some of the costs that will be made in preparing and running the festival. Any donation would be deeply appreciated and would go towards the budget, which has been included on this page.

Art Guitar Fest Calcutta offers an intense and exciting couple of days for students to learn, express and create through the classical guitar. Opportunities for such events are not so prevalent for guitarists in India, especially after the pandemic, and we hope to help satiate the growing hunger for classical guitar. Education is at the core of this festival and we hope that we may inspire a generation of young talents.
