ART FRAUD REIMBURSEMENT

We all know fraud is on the rise. Recently it has hit one of the artists in our community. My dear friend Dylan was approached to sell a piece of his work through a source he thought he vetted throughly. They sent him funds he deposited. Then requested a change in the piece they wanted which would need a refund. After Dylan thought the check had cleared he sent the refund and all of a sudden there was a stop payment on the check. Because of this the commission money was sucked back out of his account. He can’t claim fraud because he actively sent the funds back to this individual.

Dylan has been hit hard this year with the loss of his beloved job. He is currently living as a working artist. Over the years he has poured time, energy and art into the community through his work with his organization Sentimental studios that works with suicide prevention for the LGBTIQA community. http://sentamentalstudios.weebly.com

He is truly a lovely human and didn’t deserve this kick when he was down. Any overage other than his loss would go right back to this organization.
