Art for Healing: Smiles' Surgery Fund

It’s officially happening! On August 11th, I will be getting top surgery!!! It has been quite the journey to get here. I feel so lucky to be at this point and so grateful to the friends, partners, and people in my life who have held me, listened to me, and helped me get to where I finally have a surgery date. I remember as my mom drove me and my sister to our Catholic school as a child, I would pray to God to make me a boy while wearing my chapel dress. Who knew God came in the form of a very expensive plastic surgeon!! And while the surgery brings me immense joy, it also brings immense financial stress. Both the surgery itself and the time it takes to heal are a huge financial burden that, as an artist, is daunting to say the least.

I struggle to ask for help and struggle even more with asking for money, which is why I am trying to meet myself in the middle and offer you all something in return: my art! Limited prints, limited sweatshirts, and discounted shoot rates — all for the sake of raising money for this surgery and time to heal. These items can be found on my Instagram: @strangeexposures.

I understand not everyone has the financial availability to buy these items, which is why donations are also accepted. No amount is too small, and no amount goes unappreciated!!
