This concert seeks to raise emergency funds, restoring health & joy
to a precious earth angel in our city healing from cancer.
After a 12+ month battle with breast cancer, the incredible Lois Antionette Pitter-Bruce is being supported by her daughter Shelley Bruce in creating a special, one of a kind concert to raise emergency funds for her life affirming treatment. To be hosted in early Nov 2026, as the need is critical soon.
Alongside treatment Lois is seeking from City of Hope, the Bruce family has identified a holistic oncologist expert, ayurvedic practitioners, body workers, acupuncturists, meal prep and more that will give the immune boosting resources to Lois needs at a critical point in her healing journey.
But time is of the essence, as her condition becomes critical daily. She struggles to walk, eat, and enjoy daily life, with a metastatic breast cancer diagnosis that has not improved as much as we'd hoped in the past 10 months. But Lois and her family are FAR from giving up on solutions. We have not tried everything we can just yet.
We must now call on community to make this beautiful experience to source resources happen!
What is the greatest challenge you’ve ever faced?
Now what is the most magnificent solution you could imagine to solve it?
Art for an Earth Angel is the first in a concert series to bring uplifting music, poetry and visual art to raise funds for specific cancer treatments, after extensive research and devoted care from family and health providers.
Our asks:
- Artists and Community support for the full production of this show, at the highest level we can manifest on short notice. Aiming for dates Nov 4th or 6th. We will be curating a concert with the best of the best to celebrate her accomplishments and fundraise for her care.
- HELP THIS GO VIRAL. The internet can be a powerful resource. Tag some celebs we think would be amazing to amplify or attend this concert like @ LA Russel, SZA, John Legend, Aloe Blacc, Andre 3000 (folks some of us are in direct connection to) and any other influential, philanthropic individuals. But of course likes, comments, DMs, reshares and PRESS from local news sources would help immensely.

What $10k can do
2-3 Months of Holistic oncologist support, meal prep with the best foods and supplements, and acupuncture treatments, all compatible with her care from City of Hope.
What $20k can do
3-6 months of treatment, with wiggle room for some dream retreat weekends like a spa in Laguna Beach or Malibu. For an award winning journalist, who has more than earned rest and celebration.
What $50k-$100k can do
Fully cover health treatments for 6-12 months, pay down pressing bills and allow freedom for some of her lifelong dreams to come true. Like international travel and live music experiences.
Black women have lead the way.
