Hello family and friends, my name is Vicky and I am Kevin's girlfriend and Arturo Bocanegra's "adopted Asian Child" and I will be speaking on behalf of Kevin Bocanegra.
Arturo Bocanegra, you are quite possibly the most impressionable, interesting, hilarious, and genuinely kindest being I have ever met. Thank you for all of the words of wisdom you would always pass on to all of us. Thank you for extending your fatherly love beyond the confines of blood. Words cannot describe the amount of love we all have for you, Arturo Bocanegra. We all just wish and pray that we can take your terminal pancreatic cancer away. At this point, we just wish we could hear you laugh and be your jokester self again. Through your love and support you have brought up such an amazing son, who adores you. You have always taken care of him in his times of need. With what has been going on, it is our turn to provide you with infinitely more attention, time, and love. We just want you to know that our future plans have always included you in them and they still will. Whether it was us fantasizing about purchasing a huge home where you would stay with us, watching us get married, or seeing the birth of your first grandchild you have always been at the top of our list and mind. In every step we take it will always be with you by our side no matter what happens. We wanted so badly to make you proud and hope that we still have despite the lack of time we have left together. We will never forget this past year living with you. No one will ever know or understand the relationship you have with Kevin and neither of you need to prove anything to anyone. I know the amazing father-son relationship you both have. I saw all the support you both gave each other up until now. Just know dad, that you are loved and will always be loved.

With pancreatic cancer, it never gives the individual or families time to process and prepare. We thought we had more time with our dad...We typically are not the types to reach out for help in such a public way. However with the circumstances presented to us at this time, any help anyone can provide is greatly appreciated. The funds will be going to Kevin Bocanegra to cover the cost of the final expenses.
