Suddenly, oddly, I noticed there was a lump in my neck, thinking it was a dental infection I went in for a visit. No such luck. In May 2019 I was diagnosed with cancer of the parotid (salivary) gland. Normally this is a benign or slow-growing type of tumor. Feeling hopeful I was grateful to have the surgery in June (2019). 

Follow-up testing revealed new findings. Next, instead of starting the radiation, I had a 2nd surgery. The pathology reports showed "Mucoepidermoid Carcinoma High-grade Stage 3 Cancer".  It's a rare cancer without an "identified as effective" chemotherapy for this. Too risky. There will be daily radiation treatments beginning soon (5-days weekly, for 6-weeks). It will be an aggressive treatment, I'm optimistic with a strong spirit. 

I am raising funds to pay for acupuncture treatments to accompany my radiation treatment. At this point I hope to boost my wellness and hope to get control of this fast moving cancer (which is surprising my western medicine providers). And if things don't improve my goal is to be supported through the transformation in front of me.  Thank you.
