Hello, my name is Elodie and I am launching my first gofundme campaign for an animal lover like me. Art has a big heart and I just randomly learned that he’s about to lose his home and with it the last memories he has with his husband.

Art explored all options to save his house but extenuating circumstances have led to dead ends for traditional assistance.

I named Art “the dog whisperer” because all the dogs love him. My dog Charlie is very nervous and skittish and doesn't let anyone near him, even friends we've had for years, but with Art in just a few hours they were already best friends and every time we visit him, Charlie is super excited to see him and runs towards the front door.

Art bought this house with his husband but unfortunately, he passed away suddenly and now Art is also about to lose their house. He’s retired but still working, but recently he had to make essential repairs to his house and now he is behind with his bank and his house is in foreclosure. Art didn't want anyone to know because he was ashamed, but we should all feel the right to ask for help when we need it. So I finally managed to convince him to let me start this campaign for him and I really hope we can come together as a community to let Art live for as long as he can in this house where he keeps all his memories. Art also owns 3 pets and as someone who saves dogs about to be euthanized all day long, I just can't imagine him having to give them up, he loves them way too much.
