Art Aid- Art supplies for kids in hospital care

Hi, my name is Kathrine. Recently, I read this story about Sydney's Westmead Children's Hospital and the many kids currently staying there who are isolated from family, friends and community while they recover from Covid 19. The hospital staff and the teachers at the hospital school are crying out for art and craft supplies to help brighten the kids days and keep them learning during their isolation. Hospital school Principal Mercedes Wilkinson told me that they would very much welcome donations of these supplies. At the moment all materials passed to the children are single use and cannot be re-used for other patients on the ward.

As an art teacher, I know that art is something all ages can enjoy. I am raising funds to help purchase art supplies, which will be delivered in packages for individual student use. Each pack will include a range of quality drawing materials and an art diary, along with age-appropriate activities created by art teacher colleagues to help inspire and educate the kids, who range from Kindergarten to Year 12. These packs will be delivered to the hospital ready to hand out to the convalescing children and will provide some entertainment and enjoyment. ALL funds donated will go to purchasing materials and arranging for them to be transported to hospitals in NSW with kids in need, starting with The Children's Hospital Westmead.
