Arsenal Comics & Games Rebuild!

Donation protected

OVERVIEW

-Hello Arsenal fans! By the suggestion and request by many of Arsenal Comics & Games loyal followers we have decided to set up a couple ways to help the shop get through our most recent crisis which includes a burglary that will cost thousands to repair and the fact that the shop is not open for customers. Read below to find out more, and find out how to help!

ABOUT THE SHOP

-Arsenal has always been a collaboration between Timothy Heague and Paul Roman Martinez. Timmy is often the face of the shop and can be seen running day to day operations at both locations. Paul is responsible for the look of the shops including all the logos, colors, and more! Both Paul and Timmy know this collaboration is not complete without you, the fans, and our family of employees who we are working hard to provide a nice place to work when this is all over. (A place with a brand new door apparently, thanks robbers)

    -ABOUT TIMMY

Timmy is a third generation business owner but instead of taking over the reigns of his old man’s shop, he decided to find a partner and open up his own shop dedicated to his first love, comic books! Timmy works hard day and night, pouring his soul into the shop to try and turn it into something great for you! Timmy is the kind of guy you can message in the middle of the night with a comic request and he’ll do his best to track it down for you. No request is ever to small when it comes to the fans!

    -ABOUT PAUL

Paul Roman Martinez is a designer and illustrator responsible for the Adventures of the 19XX graphic novel series and is a proud single parent of three foster children in Ventura County. He is always just grateful to be working in the world of comics and to be making art for a living! When the chance came to open up a comic book shop just over five years ago, it was like a dream come true. Since then Paul has enjoyed working to keep the shops growing. Read and play forever!

ABOUT THE CURRENT SITUATION

-And what is our current situation? Well, before the shelter in place the shops had strong sales and a good customer base. After the shelter in place we are doing about 10 percent of what we used to with online sales. We were already planning on offering the new Arsenal t-shirt to help raise funds to pay some bills, but then we got to the shop on Saturday morning and found that someone decided to help themselves to our cash register and a few key books. And they decided to do that by completely destroying our front door. And when we say our cash register, we mean all the cash that was in it and the entire cash drawer and an ipad we use for inventory.  In normal times we wouldn't want to ask for help with this expense but with our accounts already in the red and getting redder every day, putting out thousands of dollars to make repairs is going to be difficult for us. Eventually the insurance company will probably pay for the repairs, minus a deductible. But in the meantime we have other bills to pay. We know everyone is going through something right now and we just want to remind people that we are just trying to keep the stores alive so that our employees have jobs for them when they are ready to come back, and all our awesome fans still have a great place to play games and hang out. The minimum we needed for the door repair is two thousand but it will cost more than that to buy a new ipad and a new register. Anything over that amount just goes toward keeping the store alive!

Even though it looks like just the glass was broken, there was some severe damage to the metal frame of the door.

2 WAYS TO HELP

-There are 2 ways for you to help! Actually there are probably a ton of ways we are not thinking of. But there are 2 ways here!

1. You can donate to this campaign and help that way! Any amount will help, and if you can share the campaign on social media, even better!

2. You can preorder the brand new arsenal tshirt!

Just click here to order !!!
Shipping to the US is a flat $5, but you can get a rebate if you come to the shop and pick it up when they come in.

Like all our previous shirts, this one is limited edition and is guaranteed to make you more popular! *wink! We also have the new design in a zip up hoodie, black or dark green, in a women’s cut and kid’s sizes! Just head over to our Etsy store and put yourself down for a preorder. Just give us some time to get it to you. These shirts are being made to order depending on your size and how many orders we get.. And after this first print, they will not be printed in this style again! Below is the new shirt and hoodie design. We will be closing off preorders in two weeks.
