Hello, my name is Jackie McPhee and I truly appreciate your taking the time to read my beautiful sister Christina’s story.

Christina is a generous, funny, and outgoing woman whose warmth has touched countless lives. From a young age, she felt called to help others, earning her degree in social work before discovering an even deeper passion for caregiving. While she waitressed on the side for almost 40 years, her true purpose was always rooted in compassion. As a registered caregiver Christina poured her heart into supporting others through some of their most difficult days, becoming a source of comfort, strength, and joy to the people she served.

To know Christina is to love her. She is cherished by friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, and by all the people whose lives she has brightened over the years.

Christina’s biggest love of all however, is her daughter Brittany—a highly respected forewoman at Seaspan’s Victoria Shipyard—who shares her mother’s resilience, kindness, and sense of humor. Their bond is extraordinary, but it is just one of many deep connections Christina has built through a lifetime of generosity and care.

Today, our community is united in heartbreak. Christina has been diagnosed with stage four metastasized lung cancer, and the news has shaken everyone who holds her dear. She has spent her life lifting up others, and now she needs our support. We are humbly asking for contributions to help ease the financial burden of treatment, travel, and daily living costs during this difficult journey. Any donation, no matter the amount, will help ensure Christina can focus on what matters most—receiving the care she deserves and spending meaningful time with the many people who love her.
