Arrow's Urgent Surgery: We Need Your Help
Donation protected
My little girl’s name is Arrow and she is a 6-yr-old dog. I just recently had her to the vet because she was limping on her right hind leg. The x-rays showed she has a complete ACL tear of her right leg. Anterior Cruciate Ligament is the main ligament which stabilizes the thigh bone and the large bone in the lower leg. Because it is a complete tear, an operation is the only viable option. The operation may take 1-2 hours followed by her staying for a minimum 2 nights at the vet’s facility. Picture shows low cost $4737 to high cost $6291. Another picture shows the postoperative view with posts, a metal plate, screws, fork, and cage with screws. The operation is scheduled for May 19, 2025 at Peninsula Animal Hospital and Orthopedics.
I got Arrow from the puppy mill when she was 2 years old. She had no socialization skills except protecting me on the very first day. Within 2 years she was socialized enough to go to the dog park with other dogs big and small. She has also become a people person. Everyone who meets her loves her – my neighbors, my church group, my family, EVERYONE. Arrow constantly improves with her initial interactions with people I introduce her to, all the while continuing to protect me. She is such an important and vital part of my life. I had her certified as an Emotional Support Animal.
