To The Albany Rock Stars of Past, Present and Future,

Hi – This is Coach Bree Hassell– I’m the Founder and CEO of The Albany Rock Project (ARP) and a local muralist! I started The Albany Rock Project in October 2020, during the global pandemic; painting rocks and hiding them in parks in low income urban neighborhoods of Albany, NY. Since then, five years ago, ARP has released over 2,500 rocks in the Capital Region of NY and still counting, through a variety of workshops, public festivals, and community organization collaborations.

With all of this in mind, I come bearing some exciting news!

The Albany Rock Project is developing new rock painting kits paired with curriculum to distribute to school districts across the Capital Region of New York.

At this time, to embrace my next level as an entrepreneur, The Albany Rock Project requires a RE-commitment from me. A recommitment of my time, energy, mind, and body. A recommitment to what it means to be my own boss and build a sustainable team for ARP.

Envisioning (and implementing with your help) ARP’s product/curriculum development will be the first stop of these recommitments.

Developing ARP’s new products and curriculum creates an increase of accessible arts facilitation opportunities for school districts, local non profit programs, and value aligned businesses in the Capital Region of New York.

I appeal to you all today to ask, “Are you available to support The Albany Rock Project’s growth today?”

The Albany Rock Project has a grand fundraising goal of $10,000 for the production of 100-125 official ARP rock painting kits. The funds that are gathered will be assigned to:

Stipend Compensation (~$4,200)

Designer of ARP’s new custom made boxes

Part time academic curriculum builder that will work closely with The Albany Rock Project and myself

Product Development Cost (~ $4,500)

Custom made ARP boxes

Assemblement of ARP’s rock kits with its artistic material (brushes, acrylic paint markers, rock material, Double Sided Printed ARP pamphlet (English and Spanish), ARP transparent rock labels, rock material adhesive and top coat.

Printed Teacher’s Guide & Student Workbooks to be paired with ARP Kits

Sales and Marketing ($1,500)

Sales & Marketing Consultant for the new products

There are a variety of avenues in which ARP is raising money for this next level endeavor.

Myself - As company leader, I have put in $600 of my own money to support this endeavor AND I do plan on adding more (Goal: $1,000)

GoFundMe – This platform gives supporters from all over the world the opportunity to support the next level of ARP’s journey. (Goal: $3,000)

Rockin’ On The Hudson: The Albany Rock Project’s 5th Anniversary Mixer – This mixer is used as a major fundraiser for ARP's development of products and curriculum. Attendees will have access to other community impacters, gorgeous views of the Hudson River, great music by a local DJ, and ARP’s volunteer recognition. You are empowered to attend aboard Dutch Apple Cruises on August 23, 2025 at 6pm. (Goal of $5,000)

Sunday Reunion @ThePickleTroy – Summer patio party on Sundays at the Whiskey Pickle. 10% of proceeds of drinks and food will go to The Albany Rock Project (Goal $300)

RockTober Fest – More Details to come for October 2025 (Goal $2,000)

The Big Gay Market — LGBTQ+ Inclusive makers market in the Capital Region. Proceeds (determined by merchants) will be given to The Albany Rock Project in the month of November (Goal $300)
