Aron of the Dreaming Store Closing

Donation protected
Greetings friends!

As some of you may have heard, The Dreaming Comics and Games is sadly closing down at the end of September. Aron has been the proprietor of this amazing store since 1999 and now he is forced to close it. It is heartbreaking for him. It isn't easy to compete in a town with crises level rents, Amazon as a hometown business, and the fall of the printed comics industry.

Aron has run this business with his heart and soul. He continued to run it because he loves the community of amazing people who frequent the store and he knows it is one of the few safe spaces in the city wherein people of every type could feel welcome and comfortable. He always smiles when people he knew as young college students bring in their children. And he loves to support all the gamers who have no place to have their tabletop nights. Everyone is always welcome at The Dreaming... Except haters; those guys were never invited.

Aron truly hoped that by working day and night and often refusing to pay himself, he could could somehow force The Dreaming to thrive. If spirit, love, and honor could make it happen, The Dreaming would be an empire. Aron has been a remarkable business owner and an amazing friend to so many.

Of late, several disasters have befallen Aron on a personal level. Just after his initial announcement to the world that he would sadly be closing The Dreaming, some one broke into the store and stole most of the valuable collectibles that were going to help him with a fresh start. Thousands of dollars worth of very collectible merchandise was taken. The second thing he must overcome is the debt that has accumulated and is weighing on him heavily. It started to fall due to the competition that has sprouted up by businesses that are much better funded. The debt is very high and terrifying. Lastly, Aron has dental trouble. It is emergency dental work that is needed and it is potentially life threatening. This work will cost $5000.

I am hoping to raise awareness that the store is closing so people can support Aron and also find treasures for 50% off store-wide. It would be a tremendous honor for him to see everyone too. He really does love everyone in this community deeply and just having that support would make this transition so much better for him. I really want to see Aron leave this situation debt free. The debt and mounting medical bills are very high and the stress is quite painful.

Even a few dollars can make the difference. But if you cannot contribute, please feel free to share this and boost the signal. We need as much publicity around such an important institution in our community closing as possible.

Thanks for reading my verbose post about this. I really appreciate any support you can give our beautiful, sweet friend.

With all love and joy
