"Aroma-Vision" - A Milwaukee Short Film Project

In a future where televisions can broadcast scents, an ordinary man becomes a
part of a sinister experiment when he's lured into a new, interactive cooking show.

Welcome to Aroma-Vision, where our future makes scents!
As we dive into this breakthrough technology, we're thrilled to invite you on this
cinematic journey. However, to fully bring Aroma-Vision to life, there are financial
hurdles that we can only overcome with your support.

Aroma-Vision is an eerie ten-minute horror film inspired by The Twilight Zone that
follows Fred, a weary security guard that is lured into a game show centered
around a new television that emits scents (akin to Smell-O-Vision). Like the Black
Mirror series, this narrative explores the true dangers of technology and how
easily we are persuaded. Produced entirely by Milwaukee-based artists, this
project is a true labor of love for filmmaking, specifically within the horror and sci-fi genre(s). Think Her (2013) meets The Twilight Zone, a twist of John Hughes’ Weird
Science (1985), and eerie Zathura (2005)-esque vibes with a strong emphasis on special effects.

DIRECTOR Shun Powell is a filmmaker, photographer, and special effects makeup artist from Milwaukee, WI. He is the founder of ShunPFilms, a production company that creates sci-fi / horror films. Shun's passion for cinema started early, and he has turned his love for special effects makeup and storytelling into a successful career. His films are visually stunning and emotionally captivating, showcasing his unique vision and artistic flair.

SCREENWRITER Adam Smith is a filmmaker and dark comedy-based writer from Milwaukee, WI. Adam grew up in "the Bootheel" of Southeast Missouri where he developed his passion for storytelling. After moving to Milwaukee in summer of 2022, he has gained on-set experience for top brands like NFL, Reader's Digest, Milwaukee Bucks, Nike, FailArmy, WWE, and more. Adam is also known for Wishing Whales Motion Pictures.

THE CREW first met while working as production assistants on a Top Secret show that recently filmed in Milwaukee, WI. This short is born out of our experiences working together on that show and we are excited at the opportunity to come together once again!
