Arnie’s Leukemia Legion

As a sister I’m concerned about my older brother, Arnie ‘s well being.  This plea is with hopes of helping him and his wife, Lori as they face this current health  and financial  challenges. They reside in Arizona and with me being in Pennsylvania, I thought I would set up this fundraising page.
Arnie has been recently diagnosed with ALL - acute lymphoblastic leukemia. This is the type of cancer of the blood and bone marrow
 Not only are they facing daily health challenges but overwhelming financial obstacles are arising .
Several years ago Arn had a heart attack (Feb 2015) and diabetes (2016) which caused him to work part time as a long distance truck driver. Now, in November 2017, he was diagnosed with ALL. He is currently in his 4th month of treatment and having oxygen assistance while having chemo treatments.
Recently Arn and Lori were notified that his insurance is lasping  due to not working since November. They did not qualify for medical insurance assistance due to making $28.00 a month too much!
Luckily they have recently picked up a new insurance plan but have a $4500.00 co-pay to start the plan. They are both on social security so this is another challenge for them!
In addition, while Arnie is under going chemotherapy, they must reside in a oncology hospitality suite which is located close to the treatment hospital.  (This is during his off time from chemo treatment.)  While these accommodations are price reduced its another finicial challenge . It’s an expense that has to occur as it’s four hours away from their home for the cancer hospital.
Any funds raised will be used for insurance co-payment, medical and living expenses. He has TWO more years of treatments!
