Renowned Estonian-Canadian artist Arne Roosman passed away at North Hastings Hospital in Bancroft on 15 January 2026.

Arne's daughter, Rebecca Roosman-Mackay, has rushed over from Edinburgh, Scotland and is now organizing his affairs and funeral.

With Rebecca's blessing, I am inviting friends to contribute towards his funeral, and I'm hoping to raise $2,500 for this. Should we get more donations, Rebecca might put them towards her travel costs.

Arne was one of the most famous artists in the area, and I hope we can support him getting a fitting send-off for a life well lived.
