Death of Army Veteran Billy Pierce

Billy died on March 27, 2024 at 3:15 pm. Please do not send me flowers. My cats will chew and eat them. His cousins sent money for the flag case for his folded American flag that I have already received from the crematory. I plan to get a nicer flag case that can hold his army pic and other memoriabilia. I am at such a loss of what to do next or how this is supposed to work. I don't want to have to figure out a future without my Rebelsoldier by my side. But I guess I don't get to make that choice.

Even though we knew this was coming, my heart is still broken into a thousand pieces. BUT I am happy that he is no longer in pain and suffering and his tour of duty is finally over. I am extremely upset! Yesterday afternoon the VA reversed the entired April 1st bank deposit of his benefits. What is sent April 1st covers the month of March. They took the entire thing! He died March 27th. So they should have only deducted 4 days out of it. Now I have stuff bouncing left and right. Typical government BS. Screw you without lube while you're already at your absolute lowest. I don't know what else to do except continue to ask for help because most of us know when the government owes us, they get in no hurry to correct things. I am trying so hard to stay strong for Billy, but after this last blow I am failing miserably! All I want to do is stay in bed and just ignore everything and hope I wake up and find this was just a bad dream.

Anything helps. Even if it's only $5 or $10. Because it adds up and the bills don't stop and I don't know how long it will take for the widow pension from the VA to kick in. But anything government never rushes when they owe us.
