Armstrong Fire Recovery Fund
Donation protected
On Wednesday, January 17, 2018, in the late night/early morning hours, Peggy and Mike Armstrong (my parents) experienced a fire at their farm. Within a very short period of time they lost their garage, the three cars inside of the garage and many other personal items.
Thankfully and by God's grace, no lives were lost and the house was spared.
The amount of love, support and prayers our family has recieved in such a short time, is truely appreciated.
My parents may never know the cause of the fire and it is going to take a lot of time for insurance to work through things.
What little we know currently is that insurnace is not going to cover most of what was inside of my parents cars. Specifically of concern currently is my moms therapy materials.
My mom Peggy, is a Speech Patholigist and does home health care for babies birth to three years of age. My mom is one of the most giving and loving people I know. She loves what she does and often times agrees to work with the hardest children. Many of the children my mom works with come from very poor famlies and live in remote places. My mom's car (that was lost in the fire) is her office. Inside of her car were years worth of therapy materials and toys. We now know know that insurance will not cover most of this.
For now, I am asking for donations to help my mom purchase some new therapy materials so she can start seeing "her" kids again.
We anticaipate knowing more within the next week and I will do my best to keep this updated.
Please feel free to contact me directly with questions, Katie
