Armen's master's degree program

I am hosting this fund raiser for my friend Armen Manukyan from Yerevan, Armenia. I am thrilled that Armen has recently been accepted to an MS program in agricultural economics at Texas A&M University where he hopes to matriculate next fall. Armen is a man of passion and vision. Anyone who has worked alongside Armen building hiking trails knows he has a can-do attitude that is an inspiration to those around him. He has many unique ideas to create grassroots economic opportunities in rural Armenia that build upon his experiences in trail building and community outreach.
Study abroad will not only be a life changing experience for Armen that will broaden his perspectives, but will enable him to build a foundation in the knowledge he needs to pursue his larger dream of helping Armenia grow economically. Unfortunately, the costs of living and studying in the US are quite daunting compared to those in Armenia. Armen needs all the support we can give him to make this dream a reality.
Through this fund raiser, Armen hopes to cover some of the initial costs of tuition and living and to secure financial aid and scholarships once he is established in the first semester of the program.
GoFundMe is not yet supported in Armenia so Armen has no way to receive funds from the platform without a sponsor from a supported country. Thus, all donations will be received to my US account and I will send them directly to the university to be applied toward Armen's tuition. Any amount you can spare to help Armen and help Armenia is greatly appreciated!

And now, here is Armen's story, in his words:
"In my country, Armenia, there are many business opportunities related to agriculture, but the paucity of knowledge in agribusiness prevents people from working profitably in this sector. My vision is to import the culture of an educational corps to Armenia to establish the first agricultural corps for youth interested in agribusiness. Through this entity, young people will be mentored by professional farmers and be able to access cost-free opportunities to learn about the business of agriculture. There will be a research center, where students can study the economic impact of agriculture and be empowered to help their communities make informed business decisions. No effort will be spared to make the resources of the corps free for all students who want to develop agribusiness in their region.
For the first step toward my long term goal, I am pursuing an education in the USA and will become an expert in agribusiness and examine the system of educational corps. I have already been accepted to Texas A&M University’s Agricultural Economics MS program. It is one of the foremost agricultural programs in the world and will provide the foundation for my success.
The costs of tuition as an International student are quite high ($15000 per semester) and I am asking help with the costs of tuition and living expenses. My goal is to raise $5000 for my first semester in September 2021.
It is the time for Armenia to reinvigorate the economy by embracing and modernizing its agriculture sector!
