Armenia Needs More Girls in STEM

Science needs more girls - join, participate, win! This is the slogan of the "STEM Acceleration Award" program, the flagship project of FEMINNO cultural-innovative NGO. It aims at developing the STEM skills of young girls of 7th-11th grades based all around Armenia. We are trying to accelerate their interest in science and help orient them towards diverse career choices and opportunities.

More than 300 girls applied for the "STEM Acceleration Award", of which 200 passed the competition and are now finishing their online classes to get to the awards preparations. 45 STEM mentors have been working with the girls. All participants passed a hands-on project development program of 40 hours and additional sessions on various topics. As a result, the 25 participating teams will soon be ready to present their final projects to the professional jury on 28 September in Yerevan and try to win awards.

This fundraising campaign is initiated to boost the prize fund of the "STEM Acceleration Award" program so that almost all participants who have put enough effort, would not go home empty handed. We aim at motivating them even further with surprise prizes that will be available thanks to this fundraiser.

Any donation matters, and it will be directed to purchasing diverse digital products for the participants, creating additional winner categories so that to inspire them all, regardless of the main award winners selected by the jury.

And we'll definitely share the results with you to feel the rewards of the excited smiles and feel proud of what is yet to come.
