Dear Sir/Madam,
My name is Armanie Deleon. I am an 18-year-old first-generation college student currently pursuing my Bachelors in Entrepreneurship at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut, with hopes of obtaining my Masters from there as well. I believe knowledge is power and it gives you the ability to be an agent of change in the world. Like the great Marcus Garvey once said, “A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots.” My vision is to create a highly successful international business that I can create opportunities for myself, family and community.
As you are reading this, I face a roadblock in my vision and am in need of your assistance. I have a $20, 206 balance and in order for me to resume the spring semester, I need to pay $10,691.68 by January 22, 2018. I have raised $1,292.10 as of now and need $9,400 in order for me to resume my studies. My family and I have exhausted all options of meeting this balance and we are seeking help so that I may finish my studies and obtain the vision God has given me.
My plan going forth is to become a Residential Assistant. However, the position is not available for freshmen. When you become a Residential Assistant the university covers the expense for room and board. Unfortunately, the financial aid I received from Quinnipiac only covered my tuition and not my room and board. For my remaining years in college, there will not be a balance of this magnitude, and my room and board will be covered due to the fact that I will be a Residential Assistant.
Given the above, I am therefore reaching out to you my friends, family, and associates to assist me in any way you can to bring this financial mountain down so that I can continue my college pursuit. Thank you and God bless
