Our father was a loving and noble person, who was tragically assaulted based on the color of his skin.  He taught us to be loving and see beyond color.

From what we understand our dad was assaulted on Sunday afternoon.  He was simply on his way home from the grocery store to watch his most favorite sport in the world, soccer.  Unfortunately  my dad was in the wrong place at the wrong time and was the first person of the "wrong" color the suspect saw.  The assault was stopped by a brave passerby and was immediately rushed to the hospital.  In an effort to try to save his life the medical staff performed two emergency surgeries, but unfortunately the damage was too extensive.  He is leaving this world much too soon.

 Our only comfort at this time is that he is no longer in pain and that he will soon be in heaven to look over us and his grandchildren.

This tragedy is suddden and unexpected, and unfortunately my father did not have a pension  or insurance to assist us with the medical bills.  Our family would appreciate any help that you may willingly donate to assist us in these costs.
