I’m raising funds for my son, Armando Peña, after a devastating head-on collision. Armando was a passenger in the car, and he was thrown through the windshield. He suffered severe head injuries, multiple fractures in his spine, a broken leg, fractured toes, a fractured arm, and facial and sinus injuries. On top of everything else, his friend passed away in the accident.

Right now Armando is in the hospital, and we still do not know how long he will be there. He will need spinal surgery, and he has a long road to recovery ahead of him. Armando is also suffering emotional distress from the loss of his friend in this horrendous accident. As his family, we are trying to prepare for what he will need once he can come home.

Because of his facial and sinus injuries, Armando cannot lie flat, so we will need a medical bed for him at home. We will also need rails for his bedroom and bathroom, an electric wheelchair for mobility, and equipment to help transport him in a vehicle. There is still equipment we may learn he needs as his recovery continues.
