Mă numesc Mirela Faitas, și scriu aceste rânduri cu inima frântă, dar cu speranța că bunătatea oamenilor poate face minuni.

Nepotul meu, Armando-Ionuț Blocau, are doar 17 ani. Este un copil care ar fi trebuit să-și trăiască adolescența cu vise, prieteni și planuri de viitor. În schimb, viața i-a pus în față o luptă nedreaptă: un cancer extrem de agresiv, care s-a extins în mai multe părți ale corpului.

Armando se află în prezent sub tratament în România, însă, din păcate, opțiunile sunt limitate, iar evoluția bolii ne obligă să căutăm o șansă în plus la viață — într-un spital din afara țării, oriunde în lume există o posibilitate reală de ajutor.

Armando vine dintr-o familie modestă, iar această boală i-a luat complet prin surprindere. Costurile tratamentelor, investigațiilor, deplasărilor și îngrijirii zilnice sunt mult peste ceea ce familia lui și-ar fi putut imagina vreodată.

Mama și tatăl lui Armando sunt lângă el 24 de ore din 24, fără pauză, fără odihnă, trăind cu teama fiecărei zile. Din acest motiv, nu mai pot munci, iar povara financiară a devenit copleșitoare.

Tot ce ne dorim este o a doua șansă pentru Armando. O șansă la viață. O șansă la viitor. O șansă să mai apuce să trăiască copilăria care i-a fost furată.

My name is Mirela Faitas, and I am writing these words with a broken heart, but also with the hope that human kindness can still create miracles.

My nephew, Armando-Ionuț Blocau, is only 17 years old. He is a young boy who should be living his teenage years surrounded by dreams, friends, and plans for the future. Instead, life has placed him in an unfair battle against an extremely aggressive cancer, which has spread to multiple parts of his body.

Armando is currently undergoing treatment in Romania, but unfortunately the options are limited. His condition forces us to look for another chance at life — in a hospital abroad, anywhere in the world where real help may still be possible.

Armando comes from a modest family, and this illness took them completely by surprise. The costs of treatments, medical tests, travel, and daily care are far beyond anything his family could have ever imagined.

Armando’s mother and father are by his side 24 hours a day, without rest, without peace, living each moment in fear. Because of this, they are unable to work, and the financial burden has become overwhelming.

All we ask for is a second chance for Armando. A chance to live. A chance to have a future. A chance to experience the childhood and youth that were taken from him far too soon.
