My name is Armanda. I am Armando’s eldest daughter. On 1/30/23, my father went to the emergency room and was diagnosed with an Acute UTI and was discharged the same day. The next morning, he complained about having a fever and chills. I helped him lay down and told him to rest. Which is abnormal, my father made it a point to walk all of us out when we leave for the day. But I did get my daily “Have a good day mija I love you”

At 9:30 am, my mother returned home from work and found my dad face down in the closet unresponsive. The fire department ruled it as natural causes. Because of that ruling, the corner wasn’t called out. I was put in the worse position. As my dad was left laid out in our living room with a sheet over him. I had to call around to find a funeral home to pick him up. All of us home with my dads dead body for 4 hours. We need help!

We believe medical malpractice is the cause of my fathers death. We need to pay out of pocket for funeral expenses, personal expenses, and rent.

My father was born on 5/5/1953 in Pinar Del Rio, CUBA. He migrated to the US in 1980. He met his wife, Barbara Mitchell, in 1986. They created a family of 4, which include myself and my sister Betty. Armando was a hard worker, a present family man, a loving grandfather, adventurous, supportive, easy going, etc etc
