My mom was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Over the last few days I was able to join my mom at The Cancer Treatment Center of America. It’s been hard to hear all the side effects and negatives that come from a treatment journey, but it’s been even harder to see the financial burden it puts on the patient. My mother has spent years helping others. Putting her time, money, and effort into others. I want so much to be able to help her through this journey. As much as I want to help I know that I am not able to do this completely on my own. I want to elevate the burden of food, cleaning, self care, travel and some medical expenses. I am looking to help fund pre-made meals for days when she needs food, but doesn’t have the energy to make it. I want to be able to spoil her with nail trips, hair care, body care, and so much more. The Cancer Treatment Center of America has been an amazing place. I want to make it easy for my mom to come back here and get any treatment or support she needs. The treatment center will always cover the cost for her to travel here. She is responsible for her own lodging and food. I want to be able to cover that lodging for her so she feels she can come here any time so she can get the best possible care.
My mom has been there for so many people over the years. Now it’s my turn to bring the support back to her. To show that she is loved, appreciated, and not going through this on her own.
Thank you to everyone that is able to help.
