Hi, I’m Vanessa and this is my furry best friend Arlo. Unfortunately Arlo has had some serious life threatening complications with his urinary tract disease, which is most commonly found in male cats. If left untreated this can lead to many complications even being put down as one of them. I have done everything in my power to avoid him having problems, correct diet, lots of water, water fountains, enrichment toys etc.. however a few years ago he went for surgery and everything went as well as it could besides the struggle of cost. Arlo made a full recovery and had no issue. Until three days ago Arlo had shown signs of the disease again. I took him to the vet and they wanted $6k to run him through the procedure. I then had to take Arlo to another vet across the city for a lower cost. Which ended but being close to $3k. Today I brought Arlo back home after his procedure, however he is still having complications and may have to be unblocked again and will have to pay full price for another procedure. I barely had the funds to go through with it just the other day and am now extremely worried about if he has to go in again, and what I can to do to afford it. I have never reached out for help before with this, but a friend had mentioned this may be a good place to start this time. This would mean so much to me as I don’t have any family members in the country anymore, and he truly is my soul mate. I don’t know what or where I’d be without him. Even if it’s not much anything would be very appreciated to keep me and my best friend together. Thank you
