I am deeply saddened share the news that our Arlo has passed away; his body could endure no. Any donations will gratefully accepted and will towards covering bills and expenses for my 3 girls school supplies as we will be challenging times as we to catch up.
Our sweet baby boy Arlo, who was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome, was set undergo a series of three surgeries but only made it through the second one. Recently, his condition took a critical turn when he experienced recurrent cardiac arrests during a routine procedure, uncovering an additional defect in one of his heart arteries. Faced with this urgent situation, Arlo's medical team were confronted with a difficult decision. The medical team presented us two options: to hope for acceptance at a transplant center or to explore alternative paths for Arlo's care.
Thankfully, Children's Medical Center in Dallas has given approval for Arlo to be evaluated as a possible candidate for a heart transplant. The raised funds will primarily cover travel expenses for the five-hour journey, loss of income due to missing work, and potential relocation after the transplant to a safer environment away from the dusty conditions in West Texas that could jeopardize Arlo's health.
Any donation, whether large or small, would be greatly appreciated. Your thoughts and prayers are also welcomed during this challenging period.
