hi, we're arlo and starling! arlo is an immunocomprised black nonbinary person who’s medical transition was postponed due to the economic instability and efforts by the trump administration to strip marginalized groups of their rights. starling is neurodivergent and also trans nonbinary, as you can imagine living in the united states is proving to be difficult and downright dangerous. we have made the decision to flee the country. we have a genuine fear for our safety and know that social and political tensions will rise the longer we are here. we desire to have a safe and happy life while also being able to continue our college education and have the freedom to express our sexuality and gender identity without fear of persecution. we know this will be a long process that will require funds that we cannot provide. we both work part time jobs and are trying to save up enough funds but we won’t be able to do it quickly enough as there are new changes and rights being taken away every single day. with any money donated we will be paying for passport fees, transportation, moving supplies, and relocation fees for our 6 cats. any additional money will be used to help us find housing after we move.
