Hello Everyone! If you know me and/or my brother Arlie, then you know of his struggles over the years with drug and alcohol addiction. For the past two years, he has actually been drug-free but has been on and off of Suboxone and has been struggling with homelessness for almost the same amount of time. Recently, he has been in and out of the hospital with several serious infections. He is next on the list to go to a facility where he can step down from Suboxone and get into a longer-term program to help him get off the street and out of Rutland, but they won’t accept him until he is healthy enough that he won’t require medical attention while he is there.

It’s his 49th birthday tomorrow, and he is very serious about getting his life on track and being able to be with his children and have a normal life. If any of you know ME at all, you know I wouldn’t put forth this request without a great deal of faith that he is serious. I have been doing my best to support him, but my resources are slim.

I am therefore reaching out to you for help to get his medical needs met and to help meet the tuition costs at Divided Sky. No amount is too small, and if you aren’t in a position to give, then please help by sharing. Thank you all so much in advance!
