Arlene Garver Flood Relief
Donation protected
I'm Cathy Ehgotz from Hartland, Michigan, Arlene is my longtime friend who is dealing with the flood restoration clean up and restoration to her home. The money collected through this campaign will go to financial support for those cost, I will withdraw the funds in my name and deliver her a check to help cover her out of pocket expenses.
Thank you everyone
My dear friend Arlene Garver was devastatingly affected from the massive flooding in the Mid-Michigan area on May 19, 2020, and is now in the process of painstakingly cleaning up from all the vast damage caused by almost three feet of water that flooded her home. She lives in Edenville on Wixom Lake where the dam gave way. I helped Arlene empty her house of life-long treasures, family heirlooms and memories. Moving her prized possessions now turned to garbage out to the road was heartbreaking. Looking down the road was like looking through a junkyard full of household items from all the neighboring homes also affected. It’s been an emotional roller coaster for the residents of this small town, but the community support I witnessed was uplifting; from the fire department delivering food and water to complete strangers driving up with lunch, snacks, drinks and genuine moral support for their community. I have known Arlene most of my life and her willingness to assist others is second nature for her…from helping close friends to complete strangers, she’d give away her last $10 if someone needed it more than her. It’s in this spirit I’m creating the GoFundMe account as my way of giving back to her as she goes through this very difficult time. I’d be deeply grateful if you have it in your heart to give as much or as little as you can. With loving thanks.
