Born into a family with deep maritime roots and long-standing connections to the shipping industry, Capt. Barry Tyrrell first went to sea at just sixteen years of age. He devoted his entire working life to seafaring and was a loyal and committed supporter of the R.N.L.I. Barry's family kindly request that donations be made to Arklow Lifeboat, in honour of his legacy.
